Ron Scalzo is the owner & CEO of New York based independent record label & music production house Bald Freak Music. Ron is currently part of three vital musical projects, all released thru Bald Freak – longtime electronic rock act Q*Ball, hard rock/heavy metal band Return To Earth (now on Metal Blade Records), and experimental electro project Hooper. Bald Freak has also released albums from Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal of Guns N’ Roses, NJ pirate metal band Swashbuckle (now on Nuclear Blast), Brooklyn experimental act Black Pig, and NYC modern rock outfit The Head Set.

Ron founded the label in 2005. Ron is also a producer for the syndicated radio show Elvis Duran & the Morning Show and writes essays about horror movies and nerd nostalgia for Brooklyn-based “literary arts salon” Trip City. Ron also dabbles in voiceover work, film scoring, puppetry, weekend warrior basketball, & list making. He lives in New York City with his crazy dog Buttons.
